Questions and answers of the customers

  1. A What are the characteristics of padauk wood? Image result Padauk is moderately heavy, strong, and stiff, with exceptional stability. It's a popular hardwood among hobbyist woodworkers because of its unique color and low cost. Padauk is perhaps the most frequently misspelled (and mispronounced) wood species, with Padouk, Paduk, and Paduak being common misspellings.
  2. A As a tonewood, African Padauk has been touted as a Rosewood substitute which is a fair description of the tone although it is not yet used very extensively probably due to it's bold colour. ... Both woods are amazingly cheap for a rosewood-like tropical hardwood.
  3. A It's tone is similar to maple with a slightly bright tone. It is harder and heavier than Indian Rosewood and works well as a back and sides for an acoustic guitar. Padauk has been said to be a promising replacement for generic Rosewood
  4. A I love working with Padauk and the tone is very much what you would expect from any high quality Rosewood. Complex, rich lows with glassy highs, lots of overtones and power as well. It's an all around great tone wood and will work will with Cedar.
