This is a very attractive ukulele with a large number of features including a bound neck, purfling, binding (top and back), rosette, pin bridge, and Aiersi branded tuners (the first time I have seen Aiersi use their own branded tuners). Action was very good, right from the factory, and the overall build quality was very, very good.
There’s very little not to like on the ukulele; the nut could be a touch wider (it is currently a bit under 34mm wide) and the neck could have a slightly different shape (it is very C shaped). I’d also like to see it offered as a gloss instrument!
The tone is what you would expect from a laminate ukulele, and as always, it might be worth trying other strings like a fluorocarbon string on it.
On top of these aspects, a similar ukulele would cost much more with these features from some of the “bigger label” ukulele brands.
This is a very nice ukulele that would be a great starter ukulele or addition to a collection.
And did I mention it is gorgeous?
