  1. Marc Moretti

Amazing sound and quality for the price. My only issue (and reason I can’t give 5 stars) is that it seems to be missing a “trap door” at the back of the instrument to allow you to change the strings. As far as I can tell there is no way to change them currently without having the cut a small hole in the back which I really don’t want to have to do. Other than that, this instrument is a ton of fun to play and sounds great plugged in. Please help with any recommendations for changing the strings!

    This instrument is worth it!

Superby crafted to the tiniest detail. The intonation is perfect. If tuned accurately, all notes sound correctly from low to high end. The electronics are neatly installed and are functioning as it should, no hums at all.

Since the frets are smaller and the strings are polyurethane (rubber), there will be a little “getting used to”, but when you get the hang of it, playing your favorite groove will be effortless!

I personally like the slight similarity of its sound to the double bass because of its low tone, short sustained sound almost like muffled but its soothing to the ears. You can play jazz, bebop, waltz, bossa, fusion, even pop, it only depends on how creative you can pull the bass lines with this instrument! You can also use a combination of gadgets such as compressor, etc to achieve certain types of sound if ever you feel like adding more to this greatly sounding instrument.

You can practice at home without plugging this bass because the sound hole amplifies the sound for your hearing pleasure, but if you want to play with another instrument it is best to plug it in an amplifier.

You can check out the videos from this page to hear the quality of its sound. If you are interested and would like to inquire, Aiersi has the best people who will accomodate you at all times!

Good job to all of you!

Questions and answers of the customers

  1. A I think it is loud enough to jam with an acoustic player. That being said, it has great electronics and sounds really cool plugged in.
  2. A As it says in the listing, 510MM
  3. A The one I bought is great. It is in tune and the pickup seems balanced. It took me quite a while to tune each string, because it is such a short scale. It's got a great sound acoustically and has a wonderful tone through an amp. Because it is such a short scale neck, even though it is fretted, you have to "learn' your attack. You can play out of tune until you figure out the proper attack. The instrument I bought plays in tune across the neck.
  4. A They make wound strings that you can put on this, but I think you'll prefer the ones that come on it.
  5. A First of all, the strings are not rubber. There is rubber in some brands, not in others, but there are other materials as well. The strings are looser than normal strings, but are tight enough to play. You have to pluck them a bit more than normal strings, but I never had a problem with them.
